Cookies, the short list.
Barkrow Systems uses as few cookies as the site can run on.
Nothing here sets a tracking cookie that follows you across the web, and there are no ad-network pixels. This policy explains what we do use; it works alongside the Privacy Policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your device. Some are essential for the site to function; others help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. This policy also covers similar browser storage, such as local storage, used for the same purposes.
What we use
Strictly necessary cookies. Needed for the site and the app to work: security and bot protection set by our edge provider when it checks a request or a form, and remembering your cookie choice (the barkrow-consent cookie, kept for 12 months in a cookie and in local storage). These can’t be switched off without breaking core functionality.
Sign-in cookies. When you sign in to Barkrow at barkrow.ai, Barkrow sets an encrypted session cookie that keeps you signed in securely. It is not used on this site and is not used for tracking.
Analytics. Where we measure page views, we use aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement that doesn’t build a cross-site profile of you. Non-essential analytics wait until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. No ad networks, no behavioral advertising.
Third-party pages. Checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe, and maps are rendered by Google; those services may set their own cookies under their own policies when you use them.
Your choices
The cookie banner offers Decline and Accept as equal choices, and declining is the default: nothing non-essential runs until you accept. To change your choice, clear this site’s cookies and local storage and the banner returns. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work.
